Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 5:15-17.
Verse 15, "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again."
The sin debt of all mankind was paid in full when the Lord Jesus died on the old rugged cross.  We owed a debt we could not pay, but He paid a debt that He did not owe.  This amazing gift of eternal life is why we should be living for Him and not for ourselves.  It should not be looked at as a duty to live for Him, but as a delight and privilege.  We must also rejoice in the fact that the Lord Jesus isn't buried in any tomb today.  Matthew 28:6, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."  We are made alive by His resurrection power.  We are a new creation through the power of the Gospel.  Today is another opportunity to live for Jesus.  He gave us life!  It would be a blessing to be guilty of striving to please Him in all that we do.
