Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 57:2, "I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth
all things for me."
David is in trouble. He is hiding in more than likely the cave of Adullam. His life is
being hunted by King Saul. David hasn't done anything worthy of being treated this
way. He needs and miracle and he knows exactly where to get one. We have the same
access to the miracle working God. “It is a marvelous thing to consider God is literally willing to
perform all things in us, and for us, if only we will let Him. The mischief is that most of us insist
on performing all things in the energy of our own resolve, in the strength of our own power.” (Meyer)
