Our Scripture reading today is Revelation 12:7-9.
Verse 9, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Notice in the verse all the titles for our one enemy: dragon, serpent, Devil, Satan, and deceiver.  He has definitely caused much pain, suffering, and destruction.  Walvoord on the Devil: “The title ‘Devil’ is from the Greek diabolos, from the verb diaballo, which has the meaning of ‘defaming’ or ‘slandering.’ He is the master accuser of the brethren.”
The old deceiver is tossed out of Heaven once and for all.  He is no longer permitted to accuse the saints of God anymore.  His days of deception have come to an end.  Since we know this has yet to happen, it is important that we equip ourselves every day.  The armour of God will protect us from everything Satan sends our way.  Turn to and read Ephesians 6:13-18.
Praise the LORD for His provision for our daily victory!
