Our Scripture reading today is Zechariah 8:16, "These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every
man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:"
The minor prophet Zechariah admonishes the people of the day as well as each of us
regarding the importance of speaking the truth. There is also an emphasis on standing
for truth and peace in the place you call home. Truthis becoming more and more
relative in our society. When this takes place, it is the beginning of a crumbling society.
Truth must be stood for in every home and in every generation. Are you guarding the truth?
Psalm 117:2, "For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth
for ever. Praise ye the LORD."
