Our Scripture reading today is Mark 6:4, "But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house."
It can be challenging to share the Gospel with those who know us the best. Our family and close friends provide an extra barrier that a complete stranger does not provide. We have to live with them or see them on a regular basis. The confrontation level is even stronger in this case. Either way, it is our privilege and responsibility to share the Gospelwith everyone we come into contact with. There can be rejection from those we knowand love as well as the stranger at the check out line. If it happened to the Son of God, we can be sure it will happen to us. Our job is to BE a light and then spread the Seed!
