Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 128:1-4.
Verse 2, "For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands..."
I can remember my dad saying if we don't work, we don't eat.  He instilled in us the importance of labour otherwise known as, work. This work ethic not only applies to the physical, but it also applies to the spiritual.  As mentioned on the Lord's Day, we were "created in Christ Jesus unto good works."  It would seem to me that the order of working and eating is reversed when it comes to our daily walk with the Lord.  If we are going to labour for the Lord, we need to feed on His Word.  As Christians, our intake of God's Word will be the fuel needed to work for the Lord.  In order to be a successful Christian, there must be plenty of time dedicated to the Word of God.
