Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 5:1, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle
were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
Death for the born again believer means a brand new life. A life that will never end.
God is building us a place that will never fade away. It is an eternal home with Him
in Heaven. We do not grieve as unbelievers. We grieve with great hope. God keeps
His promises and we can be assured of that. 1 Thessalonians 4:13, "But I would not have you
to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which
have no hope."
The family of God has hope in the finished work of Jesus Christ. His death, burial,
and resurrection assure us of an eternal home with our heavenly, Father. Hallelujah!
