Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 27:58-60.
Verse 60, " And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed."
The "conclusion" of Jesus Christ's earthly ministry goes right along with how His life was lived.  The simplicity of His burial is indictive of His birth.  He was born in a barn with the animals all around.  He was buried in a borrowed tomb with no crowd there.  Jesus said in Matthew 8:20, "And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head."  He is always the picture of humilty.
His return will be quite different from His birth.  We will meet Him in the clouds and so shall be ever be with the Lord. (See 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18). His second coming will be marked by His ruling and reigning.  There is no Calvary the next time Jesus comes.
Praise the Lord for the finished work of Calvary and the soon coming King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!
