Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 139:7-10.
Verse 7, "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?"
It is impossible to go anywhere where God is not there or where He has not been.  God is omnipresent.  We cannot hide from Him and He will not hide from us.  We cannot go so far north or south and not find God.  Heaven isn't too high and hell is not too low; God is everywhere.  “The presence of God’s glory is in heaven; the presence of his power on earth; the presence of his justice in hell; and the presence of his grace with his people.” (Mason, cited in Spurgeon)
The Christian life is a personal journey.  When we say God is everywhere, it can sound universal.  Yes, God is everywhere, but God is also with me.  He promised to never leave me or forsake me.  God is with you today my brother and sister.  Yes, this includes Mondays. :)  A wonderful promise to claim as we enter the rest of our week...God is with us!
