Our Scripture reading today is Luke 7:47-50.

Verse 50, "And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace."

Nothing has changed from the events of Luke 7 to the day in which we live.  God has plenty of forgiveness available for sinners like you and me.  The same ingredient is needed in our lives that it took for this lady to be forgiven...FAITH.  It was her faith that allowed her to truly believe that she had been forgiven.  It will be your faith that receives the salvation and forgiveness Jesus Christ purchased for you on Calvary's cross.

Is it our faith that makes salvation personal.  Galatians 3:8, "And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed."  It is our faith that honours and pleases God.  Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him..."  It is our faith that keeps reminding us that God will fulfill His promises.  2 Timothy 1:12, "For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

Have a wonderful day!
