Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I
not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."
One of the many attributes of God is His faithfulness. Solomon refers to it as being
"great" in the book of Lamentations. God is more than capable of taking care of each
of His children. He faithfully provides our daily needs. He gives us strength to go to
work to earn an income to supply for our needs. Who gave us the air to breathe?
Needs and wants are two different things. God is not obligated to supply all of our
wants. We do, however, read in Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." What a promise to claim on this
Monday morning or any morning for that matter.
