Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 10:24-25.
Verse 24, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:"
Our lives as born again believers should be challenging other Christians to love and do good works.  We know from the Word of God that good works will not provide salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9)  However, good works will be seen in the life of someone who has truly been saved.  In fact, verse 10 of Ephesians 2 says we are all created in Christ Jesus to do good works.  Thankfully, we do not need to rely on our own strength to do these good works.  1 Corinthians 3:9, "For we are labourers together with God..."
This responsibility we have to "provoke" our fellow brothers and sisters to love and good works is one of the reasons we should be faithful to attend each and every church service.  If you read verse 25 again, you will see this is the context.  While the world is provoking us to anything but love, God's church needs to be a shelter of love and good works.  The time we have with family should always be cherished.  Whether that is our immediate family or our spiritual family.
