Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:24-25.
Verse 25, "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"
The men that were walking and talking with Jesus Christ had heard plenty of teaching on what was going to take place. They had the prophets from what we refer to as the Old Testament of the Word of God. There was plenty of head knowledge. The problem occurred in the transfer of head knowledge to believing it in their heart.
I am not sure there has ever been a time when Bible information was so readily available. This is obviously a blessing and we should use every area of technology we can to get God's Word to people. In addition, we must pray that the hearts of those receiving the truth will be prepared and ready to receive it. 2 Thessalonians 3:1, "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: " This is a local and global prayer for the Gospel message!
