Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 55:16-17, "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."

We have been given the simple formula from God on how to receive His help in any
matter. If we call on Him, He will be our present help in time of need. The key is in
the calling. How often do we try to figure something out and then call on the LORD?
It should be the reverse order. We should call on the LORD first because He will always
help us figure it out. “The Psalmist would not endeavour to meet the plots of his adversaries by counterplots,
nor imitate their incessant violence, but in direct opposition to their godless behaviour would continually
resort to his God.” (Spurgeon)

May we all continually go to our God in prayer and watch Him do what only He can
do. Our Father is available morning, noon, and night.
