Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 15:8, "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the
LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight."
What does God delight in? Solomon reminds each of God's children that we
can bring delight to our heavenly Father through prayer. God wants us to be in
constant communication with Him. He longs to hear from us. The wicked cannot
bring God delight through their religious sacrifices and rituals. They are unable to
please God due to not having a relationship with Him. God is more than ready to save
the lost if they would humbly turn to Him for their redemption.
Take time every day to bring your praises and petitions to God. It is a command as
well as a privilege to come boldly to God's throne seeking His mercy and grace.
