Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 43:2, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."
We can be assured of passing through the deep waters and through the fire.
Thankfully, we are also promised to have the presence of our faithful, heavenly
Father will be with us. The waters of difficulties might get high, but they will
not overflow us. The fires of pain will come, but we will not be burned. God's
presence is our lives brings a peace and comfort that we can continue in spite
of whatever burden is in our path.
He Leadeth Me
He leadeth me: O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.
Refrain:
He leadeth me, he leadeth me;
by his own hand he leadeth me:
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.
