Our Scripture reading today is Exodus 33:14, "And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will
give thee rest."
What we all need most is not what God can provide. We need God's presence. The
greatest need anyone has is God Himself. These words given to Moses thousands of
years ago are still needed in 2026. Knowing that God is with us brings a security to
our lives that empowers us to press on for His glory. It also brings a peace that passes
all understanding which enables us to rest.
The writer of Hebrews reiterates this truth, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content
with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5
Whether we fully recognize it or not, we need God! We need Him every moment of
every day!
