Our Scripture reading today is Luke 6:9-11.

Verse 11, "And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus."

A crippled man has just been healed and the religious leaders are going crazy.  As we have been reading in this chapter it is quite the head shaker but very true.  The Lord Jesus met the need of a simple man and went against the religious establishment.  This sent them into a rage which would have been a far greater violation of the Sabbath.  They were plotting to possibly kill Him and they were doing it on the Sabbath.  I mention this only to show the hypocrisy of these religious men.

Once again, we can rejoice today that the way to the Father has been made possible through the Son. There is no set of rules and regulations that must be kept in order to have access to the Father.  Jesus Christ will always be the way, the truth and the life. (See John 14:6)  Also, we read in 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"

Take a moment this morning and give thanks once again for God's saving grace and sanctifying grace.  It is AMAZING!
