Our Scripture reading today is Luke 17:37, "And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together."
The coming of the Lord Jesus is certain as well as the judgment of the Lord. When the necessary conditions are fulfilled both of these will take place. As the world around seems to continually be getting further and further away from God, we can be hopeful at the soon coming of Jesus Christ. "The Bible describes certain political, economic, spiritual, social, and military characteristics regarding what the world will be like before His return. It is fair to say that the conditions exist today, and the stage is set."
This truth should motivate us to love God more every day, to look for ways to share Christ with the lost, and look for His coming! James 5:7-8, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh."
