Our Scripture reading today is Luke 8:25, "And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him."

The Lord Jesus presents His disciples with a very thought provoking and challenging question, "Where is your faith?"  The storm had no impact at all on Jesus, but the disciples lack of faith definitely did.  This was not the first miracle they had witnessed.  Jesus had told them they were going to the other side, and yet the storm revealed the level of their faith.

It is a question we must also consider on a regular basis.  Where is my faith?  Is my faith placed in the stability of my job or the One Who gave me the job?  Is my faith placed in my good health or the One Who gave it me my health?  My job and my health can change in an instant, but our Saviour never changes.  Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
I think this quote says it all, "There are many Christians today who seem to think the boat is going down! I am tired of the wailing of some of my friends who take that view. The boat cannot go down. Jesus is on board.” (Morgan)

Have faith in God!
