Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 38:14, "Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me."
“The varied cries of Palestine’s birds express the varied nature of Hezekiah’s many cries to God, now quiet, now shrill, now mournful.” (Grogan) Through Jesus Christ, we have access to God the Father. He will faithfully undertake for His children. God knows what is best for each one of us. There is no cry that He does not hear. Psalm 61:1, "Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer."
One of God many attributes is His omniscience. God is all knowing. He is aware of the oppression in our lives because God allowed it into our lives. God is able to deliver us or He will provide the grace sufficient for our daily need. Trust Him fully today and follow the lead of King Hezekiah.
