Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 1:6, "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:"
It is possible to rejoice when the challenges of life bring a heaviness to our hearts. The
joy of the Lord never leaves and it is our strength. God knows perfectly when the time
is right for His children to go through some refining. His will can and does include a
season of grieving. These seasons come and go and God is faithful through them all. We
can trust Him and be reminded that He loves and has a perfect plan for our lives.
