Our Scripture reading today is Luke 2:46-49.
Verse 46, "And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions."
Three days later Joseph and Mary catch up with Jesus. Where did He stay for those three days? Who took care of Him? Did He stay at the temple the entire time? It is not a big deal now, but I am sure it was then. Jesus is not an adult going on an adventure. He is a junior aged boy. The answers to my questions are not in the text so God obviously knows best what to include or not include in His Word.
We have a faithful heavenly Father Who has prepared everything we need. He has given us richly all things to enjoy. God definitely took care of Jesus for those three days and He is taking care of our needs every day. Our dependance must not be on our paycheque but on His riches. Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
