Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 1:13-16.
Verse 15, "But as he which hath called you in holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation."
The word, "conversation", is translated from a Greek word that means conduct and behaviour. The Apostle Peter is challenging us to be like Jesus Christ in how we live our lives. In order to live holy, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to live in holiness without being filled with the Spirit. The Spirit of God empowers us to stand and say no when temptation comes our way.
We are a walking testimony of the grace of God in our lives. Our walk will always talk louder than our talk. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal things in your life that are preventing you from walking in holiness.
