Today’s Scripture reading is John 10:7-10.
Verse 9, "I am the door: by me if any many enter in, he shall be saved,"
Every time a read this passage of Scripture, I am reminded of a portion of a song from my childhood. "One door and only one, and yet its sides are two. I'm on the inside on which side are you?" Everyone alive today is on one side or the other of the Door. In John 10, Jesus refers to Himself as the door. Jesus Christ is the entrance to eternal life in Heaven. There is no other door. The goal of every missionary we support is to lead as many people as possible to walk through this Door. The goal of Anchor Baptist Church is to lead people to walk through this Door. Jesus leaves no doubt what is obtained through Him - "he shall be saved".
There is no better time than the present to introduce as many people as possible to the Door. "Let's talk about Jesus the King of kings is He, the Lord of lords supreme through all eternity. The great I AM, the Way, the Truth, the Life, THE DOOR. Let’s talk about Jesus more and more."
