Our Scripture reading today is Ezekiel 28:11-15.
Verse 15, "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
Our text today is describing the beginning days of Lucifer.  We are reminded that he was created by God and was given so many reasons to be content.  However, there would come a day when iniquity or sin was found in him.  He wanted to be like God and that was too much.  Isaiah 14:14, "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."  Pride entered into the heart of Lucifer and all that he was given was not enough.  God did not place it there, but it was found there.  The good that God put in him was corrupted by pride.
Pride can quickly find its way into our lives.  It can lead to many other areas of sin.  It will lead us to the same places it led Lucifer.  A place of wanting more and not being content with what God has given us.  Today is a day to be thankful.  Every day is a day to be thankful.  We have countless reasons to praise and thank our God.  Psalm 75:1, "Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare."
