Our Scripture reading today is Philippians 2:5-7.
Verse 5, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"
One of the daily prayer requests we should have as children of God is to have the
mind of Christ. His mind will enable us to think properly regarding every situation
that comes expectedly or unexpectedly. A battle takes places in our minds and this
battle determines so much about how we behave. Proper thinking will lead to proper
behaviour.
According to 1 Corinthians 2:16 we have the mind of Christ. "For who hath known the mind of
the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." As
we compare the two verses, it is evident that we must make a choice ("Let") to activate
the thinking process of Christ. Ask God for His help in making that very wise choice.
