Our Scripture reading today is Philippians 1:21, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
What or Who are you living for? The answer to this question can for the most be determined
by watching someone for a brief period of time. It can also be answered by listening to
someone talk. If we claim to be born again Christians, our life ought to be lived for Christ.
This means what we do daily should be in accordance with God's will for our lives. The will
of God is found in the Word of God and also by being filled with the Spirit. The Holy Spirt
will always lead us to be what God wants us to be and to do what God wants us to do.
When we live for Christ our attitude regarding death will line up with how Paul viewed death.
Death for the believer means entering into the presence of the Lord. As we live for Christ,
we will have the proper perspective on physical death. There is great gain in glory!
