Our Scripture reading today is Philippians 1:20, "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."
The Apostle Paul was a fully surrendered disciple of Jesus Christ. He expresses a desire that
Christ would be magnified by his life or death. Paul did live for Christ and he did
eventually die for Him as well. His life is one that should be copied. We do have to be
exactly like Paul as we are each created for a specific purpose. It should be our goal
though that our life also magnify the Lord Jesus. The same Holy Spirit indwells us that
in dwelt the Apostle Paul. This means we can and should have the same boldness to speak
the truth at every opportunity.
Today is another opportunity we have to bring God glory. Live today for His will and not
your own.
