Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 1:17-21.

Verse 17, "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect."

The Apostle Paul shares with us his job description.  It was consise...preach the Gospel! While preaching the glorious Gospel, he was not to rely his own education and background, but he was to preach with the wisdom and power of God.

Our calling as followers of Jesus Christ is right in line with the Apostle Paul.  We are to preach the Gospel in the power of God.  It is to be our prayer that we point people to Jesus Christ by the way we live as well as the Gospel we preach.  In other words, our walk and talk should be talking about the life changing message of salvation.

Today, would be a good day to rejoice and thank God for your salvation.  It would also be a good day to plant and water the Gospel seed.  Take some Gospel tracts with you today and give them to those you meet along the way.  1 Corinthians 3:7-9, "So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building."

Have a blessed day!
