Our Scripture reading today is Acts 26:18, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
When an individual turns to Jesus Christ for salvation, he is freed from the grip of Satan. He no longer has power over them. 1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." The Holy Spirit of God empowers us to have daily victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. A child of God does not have to sin. He is equipped with all that is necessary to be more than a conqueror.
It is important that we internalize this truth and claim all that God has provided us through His Son.
