Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 2:19-22.
Verse 19, "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
The Gentile Christians in Ephesus had the same standing with God as the Jewish Christians had.  There was no difference when one came to Jesus Christ for salvation.  Paul was letting them know they were not second class citizens in any way.  This was not always the case.  Ephesians 2:12, "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:"
All people everywhere, who have by faith trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour (saints) have this same standing with God.  We, too, are part of the household of God.  We, too, are citizens of Heaven.  I do believe God is emphasizing once again the fact that we are only here for a short time.  Our true home will one day be with Him for all eternity.  James 4:14, "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."  Today is the day to use your vapour to bring glory to our God!
