Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 27:10, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the
LORD will take me up."
Earthly relationships are definitely needed, but even the closest of these relationships
can fail us at times. The psalmist reminds us that the LORD will always be there to
meet our needs. He will never leave or forsake His children. God is faithful!
As we meditate on this beautiful promise, it should lead us to also be faithful to Him.
Everyone who has been born again ought to have God's ways and desires leading
their lives. Unfortunately, this is not the case in far too many Christians. The flesh
and the world are conquering one by one. Pray daily for the Holy Spirit to direct
your steps and be willing to die to your own desires.
