Our Scripture reading today is 1Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
As born again children of God, we have been direct access to God through Jesus Christ.
A mediator is a go-between or reconciler. There is no other way to God apart from His
Son. Religions tell us that many ways and roads lead to God. The Word of God tells of a
different way. John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." When man's ways and God's ways conflict, it is always wise
to chose God's ways.
Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
We can rejoice that a way has been made to the Father. He longs to hear from His
children as He is always our present help in time of need.
