Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 119:57, "CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that
I would keep thy words."
No greater need we have than a relationship with the LORD. He opens the door to
true peace and joy. His Word guides every step of the way. When we obey His Word,
the blessings from Heaven will be poured out. “The psalmist is saying that, like the Levites, he wants
his portion of divine blessing to be God himself since nothing is better and nothing will ever fully
satisfy his or anyone else’s heart but God himself. To possess God is truly to have everything.” (Boice)
The goal must always be God!
