Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 1:2-3.
Verse 3, And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
When we find ourselves planted in the Word of God, we will be in the right place which allows us to do the right things. The Christian life is being where we need to be before doing what we need to do. God's Word is the source of nourishment for having a prosperous life. We must be in it every day!
Our salvation in Jesus Christ should lead to good works. These good works will lead to bringing forth fruit. John 15:16, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." The fruit that we bear is to bring glory to God. The fruit will come as we stay planted by the Word.
