Our Scripture reading today is Luke 10:10-12.

Verse 12, "But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city."

The cities that Jesus and the disciples were ministering in had been given ample opportunity to repent.  They had seen plenty of "proof" to bring them to a place of giving up their wicked ways.  If they were being compared to Sodom, they must have been pretty wicked.  "Since the people of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum had received such convincing signs, they were held to greater account for what they have seen."  It would appear that while no one will have it good in Hell, some will have it worse than others.

We have been given endless opportunities to turn from our ways and turn to Jesus Christ.  The truth is all around us.  It is accessible in print as well as in digital format.  A daily prayer request we have for our family and friends is for their hearts to be softened and ready to receive the truth and be set free.  Truth will always set someone free who is willing to be set free.
