Today's Scripture reading is Exodus 6:6-8.
Verse 6 - "and I will redeem you with a stretched forth arm."
The Creator God has provided redemption for fallen man.  This is an amazing thought.  We, who are sinful, have been redeemed by the One Who is perfect and holy.  Our Scripture reading is in reference to the nation of Israel and their being redeemed or delivered from the bondage of Egypt.  As sinners, we were in bondage as well.  Romans 3:11 tells us that we didn't even seek after God.  We were slaves to sin.  God Almighty provided the payment by sending His Son (Romans 3:25) to be our sacrifice.  Romans 6:22, "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have you fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."
Fanny Crosby wrote the following:
  1. Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
    Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
    Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
    His child and forever I am.
    • Refrain:
      Redeemed, redeemed,
      Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
      Redeemed, redeemed,
      His child and forever I am.
  2. Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus,
    No language my rapture can tell;
    I know that the light of His presence
    With me doth continually dwell.
  3. I think of my blessed Redeemer,
    I think of Him all the day long:
    I sing, for I cannot be silent;
    His love is the theme of my song.
  4. I know I shall see in His beauty
    The King in whose law I delight;
    Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps,
    And giveth me songs in the night.
  5. I know there’s a crown that is waiting
    In yonder bright mansion for me,
    And soon, with the spirits made perfect,
    At home with the Lord I shall be.
