Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:6-9.
Verse 8, "And they remembered his words."
If there was anyone who said what they meant and meant what they said, it was the Lord Jesus. All of a sudden, the people at the empty tomb remembered what they had previously been told by the Saviour. While the miracles were unforgettable, they remembered His words. These words definitely meant something to them in their time of crisis. Yes, Jesus is alive...as He said.
We are a most blessed people to have the written Word of God available at anytime. For the most part, we can read or listen to the words of God without any difficulties. The more we do, the easier it will become to remember them when we need them most. We may not always have a Bible close by, but we can have the words of God very close when they are on our heart.
