Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 85:6, "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"

When someone experiences a physical reviving, it means they were once alive and thriving.
Something caused them to stop breathing.  We are at times in need of a spiritual reviving.
Something caused us to stop living a life that pleased God.  This would indicate that we were
already saved.  A lost person cannot be revived.  First, they need to be made alive by being
born again.  God wants to save your lost family member.  This the greatest need they have.

God also wants we who are saved to live a life rejoicing in Him.  A backslidden Christian
is not rejoicing.  A backslidden Christian is not living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.
If this is your current condition, it is time to repent and seek God's reviving.  Satan has
put far too many believers on the shelf.  They are just sitting there making no eternal
impact for Christ and Satan is loving it.  God's people need to live rejoicing in the service
of the King.
