Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 12:1, "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,"
There have been a few references to patience in the last few days. Once again, this morning
we read about the importance running the life we have been given with patience. It is not
easy nor is it enjoyable to wait on the leading of the Lord. It is, however, the best way to live
your life. By patience, it is not referring to sitting down and doing nothing. We are being admonished
to run but to do it patiently. We are to do what we know to do and wait for God to show
us the rest. God's Word will direct us.
1 Timothy 6:12, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses."
