Our Scripture reading today is Romans 7:19, "For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I
would not, that I do."

The transparency of the Apostle Paul gives us to courage to press on when we have
these same struggles. Salvation is a decision made in a moment, but sanctification is the
process of a lifetime. We are constantly in need of spiritual refreshment and revival.
This is due to the "flesh" that will be part of us until God calls us home. The Spirit and
the flesh are always at odds with one another. A choice must be made daily and possibly
several times daily to walk in the Spirit and die to the flesh. The Spirit of God in us
will lead us to do the good and reject the evil.
