Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 4:5, "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake."
We have an amazing privilege as born again believers to be servants of the LORD. It
is a blessing that we get to be an ambassador for the King of kings. The end of this verse
reminds us of why and for Who we serve. Our labour ought to be for Jesus Christ honour
and glory. It would behoove us not to be like the scribes and Pharisees.
Matthew 23:5, "But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,"
Our audience in what we do is One! God is worthy of our faithful service and He gets all the glory.
