Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 6:11-13.
Verse 13, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
There is no doubt that there will come a time in our near future where a stand will need to be taken. Quite possibly, you have already come to this place at one time or another. By taking a stand, I am referring to not compromising on the truths found in the Word of God. This is not a one time only stand. The devil is continuing to attack God's Word. He started in the Garden of Eden by questioning and lying about what God had said to Eve.
God has already provided us with everything we need to stand. It is not through our power or might, but through His armour. I have always envisioned this armour like the daily clothes I put on. Every day we need to enter the battle for truth clothed in the "whole armour of God". God's armour will enable us to fight off the fiery darts of our enemy and move forward for the glory of our God. Don't try to stand for truth without God's armour.
