Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 54:10, "For the mountains shall depart, and the hills
be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be
removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee."
Almost every morning when I leave the house, I see mountains. They are very
dependable. The mountains are there even when they are hidden by the clouds. We
come across a promise from the LORD that is more sure than the mountains and the
hills. He tells us through the prophet Isaiah that His kindness, peace, and mercy will
never fail. While the primary interpretation is more than likely the Jewish people,
those who are adopted into God's family also have this promise.
There might be some cloud cover in your life today. Please know that God's kindness
is still with you. God loves you and has a perfect plan for your life. You can rest
assured that His plan will include peace and mercy. God always keeps His promises!
