Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind
is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

Where are you allowing your mind to be stayed? The word, stayed, means to lean or lay
upon, rest upon or lean against. What you decide to think about will determine if you are
going to have lasting peace. It is a daily decision as to what your mind will dwell on. I
suggest or strongly advise that you saturate your thinking with the promises of God's
Word. There is great peace in having one's mind stayed on the love of God, the goodness
of God, the grace of God and the mercy of God. This is just a small sampling of where
your mind should be stayed.

Here is another place we find a word translated from the same root word as stayed -
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
Proverbs 3:5

By the grace of God, there must be a discipline to be stayed or lean on Him God can be trusted with our
lives. He loves us!
