Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
Verse 17, "For our light affliction which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."
As we go through temporary trials now, we are given the opportunity to bring our Lord Jesus more glory for all eternity.  These afflictions that the Apostle Paul mentions are "light" when compared to the "exceeding and eternal weight" that they produce in us.  The trials of life when seen through eyes of faith will become enjoyment for our future glory in His presence.  It would seem that some afflictions will never come to an end, but in reality they are "but for a moment."  The weight and length of our temporal trials cannot be compared to what God is accomplishing in and through us.  Our testimony of God's grace can be a witness to bring others to the cleansing power of the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes on the "exceeding and eternal weight of glory"!
