Our Scripture reading today is Jeremiah 31:3, "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea,
I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."
While the context of this verse is Israel, we can also be assured that God's love is
for everyone. The love of God is not dependent on how we live our lives. God is
love. “You must go back beyond your birth, beyond Calvary and Bethlehem, beyond the fall of man
and the Garden of Eden, and as you stand looking out into the immensity of eternity, dare to believe
that you were loved and chosen in Christ, the object of God’s most tender solicitude and pity.” (Meyer)
His love should motivate us to surrender our lives to His control. Our will should be yielded to His will.
Why would we want to ignore God's plan for us when He made it possible for our sins to
be forgiven?
Meditate on the fact that God loves us and He has a specific plan for your life that is for your good and His glory.
