Our Scripture reading today is Luke 22:68-71.

Verse 69, "Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God."

The Lord Jesus Christ is still at the right hand of the Father today interceding on our behalf!  Romans 8:34, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."  Colossians 3:1, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."

As we meditate on these verses, it should become clear to us that we have the power we need to live the Christian life through Jesus Christ.  He provides us with the strength to say "yes" to the Spirit and "no" to the flesh.  Jesus Christ is our Saviour, but He is more than our Saviour!  He is our access to the Father in Heaven.  We can pray to the Father through the Son by the power of the Spirit.  Jesus Christ opened the door to the throne room of Heaven!
