Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such
as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
This is the second time this morning God has put this verse in my reading. I believe God
is always working whether we see it or not. He is Almighty God!
God loves us and desires to make us more like Jesus Christ. There is a good possibility
that He will use trials and tests to melt the dross away from our lives. As this happens,
God is faithful to help us bear it and provide a way out. "Barclay says the word for a way of escape is
really a mountain pass, with the idea of an army being surrounded by the enemy, and then suddenly
seeing an escape route to safety. Like a mountain pass, the way of escape isn’t necessarily an easy way."
Praise God for His faithfulness and seek to be faithful to Him.
